Outdoor Wireless Security Camera Technology Trends

Video security surveillance systems like Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) are substantially deployed in a variety of areas, including private areas, public areas, public infrastructures, commercial buildings, and many more. In almost every case, the Outdoor Wireless Security Camera is used for dual purposes like real-time monitoring of physical assets and spaces and reviewing of collected video footage data for identifying security indicators and planning more security measures.

Even though video security surveillance systems have been an integral and valued part of the public and private security sectors for decades, there is a sign of them outside those industries also. This interest has grown largely due to increased crime rates and security threats all around the globe, which is driving a continuous growth of the video surveillance market. Due to this, there was a need for advancements in video surveillance technologies. So, here listed are some of the major technological trends in the video surveillance industry-

  1. Artificial intelligence (AI) — Artificial intelligence blended and merged with other new-generation technologies to improve video surveillance takes the help of computer software programs that are pre-stored but modifications can be performed with the help of coding. The software programs then help to analyze the recordings and images from the video surveillance security cameras in an order to recognize any humans, vehicles, objects, and various events. The A.I. program functions by also using a machine vision. These images are kept for reference so, it becomes handier and quite easy to identify. The artificial intelligence technology asks itself that the object under observation follows the motion-like images and recordings stored in there for reference.
  2. Machine learning/ deep learning- The CCTV industry has dramatically changed with the introduction of artificial intelligence software which is based on Deep Learning. With inbuilt specifications and features like different alerting functions, video recording, and image analytics structures, then live or archived video recording data from the cloud, aggregating the meta-data for deriving quantifiable insights of retrieved data. By visualizing the video recordings and any image's meta-data, end users can also understand various trends, extract actionable intelligence and understand informed decisions made for safety, operations, and security.

  3. Cloud-based storage- What is meant by cloud storage? Cloud storage is referred to for saving files to a remote storage system accessed online which is known as the cloud. When using this there is no such need to save files on an NVR or computer hard drive or purchasing any extra space. This provides us with several great benefits over saving all security surveillance camera recordings and snapshots on NVR, it also includes the advantage of accessing recordings from anywhere and provides a larger storage capacity than NVR contains. It also allows easy sharing of files among the authorized individuals.; The new and trending technologies for video surveillance systems consist of NVR that is specially designed and modified to work with cloud storage. They will have a small hard drive to store video recordings and images locally for a little amount of time before uploading them to cloud storage.

  4. GDPR and cyber-security- The enhancement and advancement of technologies related to cyber-security is a never-ending and daunting task, also very demanding in today’s scenario. This will help in filling the loopholes that cybercriminals and thieves often try to exploit in CCTV surveillance security cameras. GDPR is general data protection regulation which takes care about the protocols that every organization or company comply with rules and regulation to protect the unification of data. Security and safety will be regulated and kept in a continuous check with the help of cyber-security laws and regulations.
